Earth Hour

Saturday 25th of March from 6pm
Location: Rye Pier
Cost: $5 for BBQ Dinner

Earth hour is a campaign to draw attention to global warming. The places we love and the great outdoor lifestyle we enjoy are under threat from rising global temperatures and extreme weather. We can protect Australia’s natural environments by transitioning to clean, renewable energy. But lets celebrate what we have and get underwater!
We will congregate in the park in front of Rye Pier and have a lovely BBQ dinner together. Waiting in anticipation for the sun to set, which will be at approximately 7:30pm. We will then don our SCUBA gear and submerge ourselves underwater and explore what surprises the darkness is hiding.
Both an Open Water and Advanced Open Water course will be running on this same weekend therefore hire gear will be limited, so make sure you are at the club early on Thursday 23rd to ensure dibs on the available gear.
To be able to participate in the night dive you must have your Advanced Open Water certificate, however all members are welcome to dive during the day and participate in dinner eating.
